Seven Oaks Modular Closed Panel Structural Timber Panel System
System Description
The system comprises two skins of min 9 mm OSB/3 to BS EN 300: 2006 separated by 38 x 140 mm studs, strength grade CLS at max 600mm ccs. The inner board may have an integral VCL and air tightness tape. The core comprises a range of insulation options including Rigid PU board, Wood fibre, Sheeps wool, Warmcell, Jute, Rockwool or Glasswool. Panels are supplied in factory cut shapes and sizes in accordance with the design of the building being constructed, including openings for windows, doors etc.
Internally the panels may be lined with additional insulation (thickness and material depending on thermal performance to be achieved), vapour control layer, 38 x 25mm battens to create service void with plasterboard finish
Durability Assessment – 60 Years
Limits on scope
- Maximum 3 storeys.
- Bottom members minimum 150mm above external ground level.
- Minimum 25mm ventilated cavity behind external non-masonry wall claddings.
- Masonry claddings require a minimum 50mm ventilated cavity.
- Conventional cladding, such as timber cladding, should have a minimum 25mm drained and ventilated back cavity.
- Seven Oaks Modular must be contracted for the design, manufacture, supply and erection of the structure.
- A chartered structural engineer suitably experienced in the design of this type of structure must be sub-contracted for the structural analysis and design.
Seven Oaks Modular TrisoWarm Structural Timber Panel System
System Description
The TrisoWarm panels system comprises two skins of min 9 mm OSB/3 to BS EN 300: 2006 separated by 38 x 140 mm studs, strength grade CLS at max 600mm ccs. The core comprises 140 mm of expanded polyurethane foam. Panels are supplied in factory cut shapes and sizes in accordance with the design of the building being constructed, including openings for windows, doors etc.
Internally the panels may be lined with 50mm Celotex or similar PIR (depending on thermal performance to be achieved), vapour control layer, 38 x 25mm battens to create service void with plasterboard finish.
Durability Assessment – 60 Years
